Have you ever felt overwhelmed about the amount of information available on the Internet? Or, have you found a site that you love only to later forget where you found it? How do you solve this problem?

Pinterest is a social-networking site that does just that. It’s a virtual bulletin board that allows you to ‘pin’ pictures from websites to use later. The pictures you pin link right back to the original website. It’s free, and you can have as many boards as you wish. Now, you may be thinking that you don’t have time to search the Internet for ideas. That’s where social networking comes into play. It’s all about who you follow, and you don’t have to log onto your computer to use it. You can pin right from an app on your phone.

It’s like Facebook in the fact that you can see your ‘friends’ pins. If you like one of your friend’s pins, you can repin it on one of your boards right from the App on your phone.

Don’t be surprised to find that you have to request an invitation to join. That means you can’t sign up right away; they make you wait a few days. The best way around this is to find someone you know that has an account and ask them to invite you.

Be careful though because it’s addicting.
