Writing Mini-Lesson: Organization




Mini-Lesson (10-15 minutes):

  • Have the basic graphic organizer on the screen for students to view. (one minute)
  • Ask partners what they notice; students record info. on sticky-note. (one minute)
  • Post sticky-notes on chart and discuss a few. (two minutes)
  • State Objective: ...use a graphic organizer for writing
  • Play and discuss animated slide. (four-five minutes)
  • Ask partners what they noticed; students record info. on sticky-note. (one minute)
  • Post sticky-notes on chart and discuss a few. (two minutes)
